Carla Canelas joined 91勛圖厙as an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Fall 2017. Previously, she was a Research Fellow at the United Nations University-World Institute for Development Economics Research, which she joined after completing her PhD at the Paris School of Economics and the University of Paris 1 Panth矇on-Sorbonne.

She is currently a Research Fellow (Chercheur associ矇) at the Centre d'Economie de la Sorbonne, (CES) Universit矇 Paris 1. Her primary research interests are in development and labour economics. Her research focuses on human capital, group-based inequalities, and social protection.
