Explore Andalusia, Spains southernmost region which from the eighth to fifteenth centuries was home to an Arab Muslim society that left behind a rich literary and urban heritage. Visit Cordoba, Sevilla, and Granada, sites of some of the best-preserved buildings to have survived from medieval Muslim civilization. The high point of the visit is the Alhambra, the Red Palace of Granada, an architectural complex devoted to mystical poetry.
